IBM Bolsters Platform with Self-Hosted Deployment Option for Sensitive Data
IBM has expanded its agentic software development platform Bob to include self-hosted deployment capabilities. This means enterprises can now bring the technology to data hosted on-premises, in private cloud or sovereign cloud environments. The move aims to address governance concerns and provide more control for organizations managing regulated data, mission-critical infrastructure, or sensitive source code.
According to IBM, 'organizations need AI that operates inside environments they have control over, especially when working with sensitive code and regulated data.'
The company's general manager of AI and automation, Neel Sundaresan, stated that the future of enterprise AI will depend on security, governance, and sovereignty. This expansion is part of IBM's hybrid, sovereignty, and trust-based AI strategy.
