IBM Connects Blockchain Platform to SWIFT and Launches IDTrust Partnership
IBM has made two significant moves in the blockchain space, connecting its digital asset platform to SWIFT's blockchain-based shared ledger and launching a global partnership with Hedera-powered IDTrust on its Cloud Catalog.
The company's Digital Asset Haven is now helping financial institutions connect to SWIFT's blockchain-based shared ledger by providing the necessary digital asset infrastructure and blockchain connectivity. This integration will allow banks to participate in tokenized deposit settlement without abandoning their existing payment rails.
IBM has also introduced a new on-premises deployment option, Digital Asset Haven On-Prem, which gives institutions a customer-controlled way to run digital asset custody and transaction management entirely within their own infrastructure. This is aimed at financial institutions, governments, and regulated enterprises that need tighter control over sensitive data.
