IBM Expands Digital Asset Haven Platform with New Features
IBM has expanded its Digital Asset Haven platform by adding two new features for financial institutions. The first is a beta Swift ledger link that allows for 24/7 tokenized deposits, which have been tested using ISO 20022 messaging format. This means banks can instruct tokenized deposit transactions without building blockchain-specific workflows.
The second feature is an on-premises option that lets banks run IBM's digital asset platform in their own data centers, using IBM Z and LinuxONE infrastructure. This allows regulated institutions to keep their digital asset operations within their own premises, away from public cloud services.
According to Tom McPherson, general manager of IBM Z and LinuxONE, 'The financial services industry is entering a new era where tokenized and traditional assets will need to move side by side.'
