IBM Expands Digital Asset Haven with Swift Blockchain Connection and On-Premises Option
IBM has expanded its Digital Asset Haven platform for financial institutions to manage digital assets. Two new beta features have been added, one allowing clients to connect to Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger through a messaging adapter.
The adapter uses standard ISO 20022 payment message formats, making it easier for institutions to process tokenized deposit transactions without needing to use blockchain-specific workflows.
Additionally, IBM is offering an on-premises beta deployment option for Digital Asset Haven. This version runs on IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE infrastructure within a client's data center, without relying on public cloud services.
The on-premises deployment includes hardware-backed security using IBM Crypto Express HSMs and configurations designed to achieve 99.999999% availability.
