IBM Expands Digital Asset Haven with Swift Ledger Connection and On-Premises Option
IBM has expanded its Digital Asset Haven platform with two new beta capabilities. The first allows financial institutions to connect to Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger using a new ISO 20022 Messaging Adapter feature. This enables tokenized deposit transactions through standard ISO 20022 messages, connecting 12,500 financial institutions across more than 200 markets.
The second capability is an on-premises deployment option for managing digital assets entirely within an organization's own data centers running on IBM Z and LinuxONE hardware. This maintains the same architecture as existing SaaS and hybrid deployment options.
The on-premises option includes features such as hardware-backed security using IBM Crypto Express HSMs, structured key ceremonies with auditable documentation for regulatory purposes, and support for cold storage operations.
