IBM Faces Twin Tests Amid Securities Probe and AI Partnership Momentum
IBM is facing twin tests of its credibility and prospects for growth.
The company's shares have plummeted to roughly 32 percent below their 52-week high, trading at around 199.94 Euro after slipping by about 1.2 percent in US trading.
This decline is attributed to a law firm's investigation into possible securities fraud, triggered by the stock's plunge of over 25 percent on July 14 following second-quarter results that disappointed investors.
The investigation centers on whether IBM misled investors about the pace of new business signings and the prospects for its IBM Z mainframe franchise.
