IBM Fights AI Readiness Gap in US Schools with Fellowship Program

A new survey by IBM reveals that US middle and high school educators are struggling to keep up with the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in their classrooms. The survey found that while AI is widely used, only 20% of educators have received extensive training on its application.

This gap in AI readiness has led IBM to launch a K-12 AI leaders fellowship program, which aims to equip school leaders with the tools and knowledge needed for responsible AI adoption.

The program will start with 100 participants in New York and plans to expand nationwide. The goal is to support educators and involve parents more in AI use in schools, as AI becomes a routine part of education.
