Small Business Saturday Celebrates UK's Favourite Businesses
Small Business Saturday has kicked off its annual campaign to celebrate and support the UK's 5.7 million small businesses.
This year's line-up of favourite businesses includes Grounds for Good in South Wales, which offers a range of botanical spirits; Wild Cairns in Scotland, an outdoor adventure experience; Breastfeeding Boat in London, a floating community space; and Fish City in Belfast, an independent seafood restaurant.
As part of the campaign, two eligible businesses will be awarded grants of £10,000 each, funded by American Express, to support their future growth. The Nation's Favourite Businesses list is a celebration of Britain's most inspiring entrepreneurs and small firms from across the UK, including Get Kindy in London, KAMU Academy in Lincolnshire, and Radnor Preserves in Wales.
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots non-commercial campaign that aims to celebrate and uplift independent businesses by encouraging people to shop local. The campaign has engaged millions of people since its launch in 2013 and seen billions of pounds spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday.
