IBM Integrates Digital Asset Platform with Swift Shared Ledger

IBM has integrated its digital asset platform, Digital Asset Haven, with Swift's shared ledger. This connection allows clients to manage their digital assets and move funds for customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ahead of final settlement through existing systems.

The integration is made possible by the beta release of an ISO 20022 Messaging Adapter feature, which enables institutions to instruct tokenized deposit transactions using standard ISO 20022 messages through Swift's shared ledger infrastructure.

This means that IBM clients can continue to use established Swift standards and banks' own compliance processes while participating in emerging digital asset networks.

IBM is also extending Digital Asset Haven to an on-premises beta deployment for clients, allowing them to manage digital assets such as stablecoins and tokenized deposits entirely within their own environments.
