IBM Links Digital Asset Haven to Swift's Blockchain Ledger in Beta
IBM has linked its Digital Asset Haven platform to Swift's blockchain ledger in a beta program, enabling tokenized deposit transactions for over 12,500 financial institutions. This integration is part of a broader effort by the financial services industry to modernize payment infrastructure and accommodate increasing volumes of digital assets.
The move addresses a growing demand for infrastructure supporting both tokenized and traditional assets, as the industry undergoes a significant shift. According to IBM, 93% of financial institutions are currently modernizing their payments infrastructure to improve efficiency and accommodate the increasing volume of digital assets.
IBM's Digital Asset Haven platform now supports connections to permissioned blockchain networks, including Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger. This integration allows institutions to instruct tokenized deposit transactions using standard ISO 20022 messages, streamlining workflows by using existing payment formats.
