International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has announced two significant developments in its push to provide regulated digital asset infrastructure. The first is beta connectivity between Digital Asset Haven and Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger, which taps into Swift's network of over 12,500 institutions.

This connection could speed up the adoption of tokenized deposits by banks through existing ISO 20022 rails. IBM has also released a beta ISO 20022 messaging adapter that allows banks to use standard messages, reducing integration friction and time-to-pilot.

Additionally, IBM has introduced an on-premises beta deployment of Digital Asset Haven for managing digital assets within client data centers. This is aimed at regulated clients who require in-datacenter control and supports the demand for IBM's Z and LinuxONE stack.
