IBM Opens Bob Platform to Heavily Regulated Environments
IBM's Bob, an agentic software development platform, is now available for on-premises deployment and in private clouds, sovereign clouds, and air-gapped environments. This move aims to give users more control over their data.
The platform was originally announced a year ago, and IBM updated it in July with new features, including multi-agent capabilities, parallel tool calling, and built-in cost and use analytics.
According to Neel Sundaresan, GM of AI and Automation at IBM, 'The future of enterprise AI will depend on security, governance and sovereignty.' He emphasized the importance of organizations having control over their data, especially when working with sensitive code and regulated data.
