IBM PC Upgrade Package Priced to Sell in 1986
The Datago Business Center made a deal on an early IBM PC in 1986 that included several upgrades.
The IBM PC, which debuted in 1981, was described as 'the most powerful, fastest, and expandable' at the time.
The package included a disk drive with 1.2 MB storage capacity, fixed disk expansion up to 40 MB, and 3 MB of RAM.
The offer also came with a year's worth of free technical support via IBM's 800 hotline, valued at $350.
