IBM Rolls Out Self-Hosted Deployment Option for AI-Powered Software Development Platform
IBM has released a self-hosted deployment version of its agentic software development platform IBM Bob, allowing companies to use it on-premise, in private clouds, or in sovereign environments.
The platform supports the application of AI across software development and modernization beyond simple code generation. According to Neel Sundaresan, general manager for IBM's AI and automation business, 'The future of enterprise AI depends on security, governance and sovereignty.'
He emphasized that companies handling sensitive code and regulated data need AI that operates in an environment they can directly control.
