IBM's stock is gaining today after the company announced a significant agreement to build an AI inference cluster on its cloud platform. The multi-year deal, worth $240 million, will see IBM and Nvidia collaborate on large-scale AI infrastructure commitments.

The cluster, which will be available in Q1 2027, will be used for open-source AI model inference and is expected to become a key offering for enterprise customers. Initially, the deployment will include approximately 2,000 Nvidia Blackwell 300 chips located in the US.

IBM has also completed a $2.75 billion bond issuance in the Canadian corporate debt market, its first such offering in over 14 years. The successful issuance demonstrates the company's access to capital markets and adds to its positive momentum today.

The expanded distribution footprint through TD Synnex is another significant development for IBM. The distributor will now offer IBM's software and services portfolio in 20 new countries across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
