IBM Stock Edges Lower in Pre-Market Trading Amid Tech Weakness

IBM stock started Thursday's trading session lower in the premarket but remained relatively flat as traders weighed the impact of weakness in technology stocks against a steadier broader market.

Nasdaq futures fell by 0.43%, while S&P 500 futures slipped by 0.02%.

IBM, along with Lockheed Martin Corp., announced Thursday that they have established a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich through an agreement with Switzerland's Federal Office for Defence Procurement.

The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre in Lugano will host Switzerland's first IBM Quantum System Two, which is expected to be operational by the end of 2026 and will provide access to quantum computing for research in areas including materials science, optimization, and financial services.
