A new book on Walt Disney World's hidden history has revealed surprising secrets even die-hard fans may not know.
The book, 'The Lost History of Walt Disney World', was co-authored by Danielle Kelly and Ian Wilson. Kelly, a former cast member and Disney historian, began researching the parks as a child with her family.
Kelly's love for Disney lore grew when she worked at the resort for about a decade. She'd often ask long-time cast members to share their stories during breaks, discovering hidden gems in plain sight.
The book guides nostalgic fans through touchstones and lore they may not have noticed before. For instance, it reveals that Joe Rohde, the late Imagineer behind Disney's Animal Kingdom, voiced an audio-animatronic in EPCOT's Spaceship Earth.
