IBM Stock Jumps 6% on Self-Hosted Deployment for AI Platform
IBM shares rose significantly after the tech giant announced self-hosted deployment for IBM Bob, its software development platform designed to help enterprises advance AI sovereignty and governance.
The new deployment option allows organizations to bring AI-powered software development to on-premises, private-cloud, sovereign-cloud, and air-gapped environments, rather than requiring sensitive code, data, or workflows to move to external services.
This is aimed at enterprises in regulated industries that need greater control over data residency, security policies, and AI governance.
According to Neel Sundaresan, GM of AI and Automation at IBM, 'The future of enterprise AI will depend on security, governance and sovereignty.'
