IBM Stock Soars 6% on Self-Hosted AI Platform Rollout
IBM's stock price surged by around 6% in premarket trading after the company announced a self-hosted mode of deployment for its AI system, IBM Bob.
IBM Bob is an agent-based AI system used for software development, and with this new release, firms can deploy it into on-premise, private cloud, sovereign cloud, and air-gapped systems without transferring code and data outside their controlled infrastructure.
This is especially important for financial institutions and government departments that are bound by data sovereignty regulations.
