IBM Stock Stalls at Quantum Manufacturing Crossroads
IBM's stock has reached a critical juncture following its subsidiary Anderon's $1 billion grant deal with the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS and Science Act.
The funds will be used for R&D and scaling up quantum wafer manufacturing in the US at IBM's Albany site, with another $1 billion invested by the company.
This agreement creates the first dedicated pure-play quantum foundry in the U.S., although commercialization of quantum computing remains in its early stages.
The key short-term test for IBM lies within the $235-242 price range, as a break below or above this boundary will determine the next direction.
A sustained move above $242 could reopen the possibility of another test at $252, while a drop below $235 may extend the correction towards $230.
