IBM Taps Harish Bharti as Asia Pacific CTO for Enterprise Tech Transformation
IBM has appointed Harish Bharti as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia Pacific, expanding his technology leadership mandate across enterprises and banks in the region. In his new role, Bharti will focus on helping organisations address complex technology challenges, scale artificial intelligence initiatives, and build solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Bharti has a long tenure at IBM, where he held senior technical and architecture roles, including serving as an IBM Distinguished Engineer and Master Inventor. He has experience spanning enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, application modernisation, and technology innovation. His technical expertise covers cloud-native architecture, data architecture, and the design of technology solutions for complex enterprise environments.
Bharti's expanded mandate comes as enterprises across Asia Pacific work to integrate AI into existing technology environments while modernising legacy systems and strengthening their cloud capabilities. He will lead IBM Consulting's technology agenda across the region, with an emphasis on enterprise-scale transformation, AI adoption, and agentic systems that can deliver dependable results in production environments.
