IBM Taps into Swift Ledger with Digital Asset Haven
IBM has expanded its Digital Asset Haven platform to connect with Swift's shared ledger through a beta ISO 20022 messaging adapter. This allows clients using the digital asset platform to initiate tokenized deposit transactions using existing financial messaging standards.
The adapter is designed to support tokenized deposit transactions and will be used by 17 financial institutions that are preparing to pilot transactions on Swift's shared ledger. These banks include ANZ, BNP Paribas, Citi, DBS, HSBC, Standard Chartered, UBS, and Wells Fargo.
IBM is also testing an on-premises version of Digital Asset Haven for selected clients, which will allow financial institutions to operate the platform within their own data centers. This setup includes digital asset and key-management components that can run within an institution's existing environment.
