IBM Taps Swift for Tokenized Deposits via Digital Asset Haven

IBM has announced an expansion of its digital banking stack, enabling financial institutions to connect directly to Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger through its Digital Asset Haven platform.

The company stated that this link allows for tokenized deposit transactions using familiar message formats and existing compliance processes, rather than forcing staff onto pure blockchain workflows.

This integration is particularly notable as it leverages the global payments network used by over 12,500 financial institutions across more than 200 markets.

IBM's Digital Asset Haven platform now offers an on-premises option for clients to run more of the stack inside their own data centers, providing control and flexibility in deployment.
