IBM Teams with OpenAI for AI-Powered Consulting Services
IBM has announced a new partnership with OpenAI to bring cutting-edge AI tools to its enterprise clients. The deal will see IBM's consulting team use GPT-5.6, Codex, and ChatGPT Work for projects in finance, software development, and cybersecurity.
The partnership builds on earlier work between the two companies, including a collaboration on OpenAI's Daybreak program. IBM consultants will be trained through the OpenAI Partner Network, with thousands set to complete certifications.
IBM plans to focus on areas where it already has a strong presence, including finance, government, telecommunications, and retail. The company says AI can speed up manual processes for large companies, citing tasks like financial reporting and procurement as examples.
