IBM WatsonX to Handle 23 Million Daily Transactions for Turkey's KKB
International Business Machines (IBM) has expanded its relationship with Turkey's Kredi Kay?t Burosu (KKB), pushing WatsonX and IBM infrastructure deeper into a financial platform that operates at enormous scale.
The project involves the deployment of IBM data, mainframe, and WatsonX technologies to modernize KKB's infrastructure, which is capable of handling more than 8.5 billion transactions annually.
This works out to roughly 23.3 million transactions every day, putting IBM technology directly into a mission-critical financial workload on serious production scale rather than an experimental AI pilot.
The catch is economics: IBM did not disclose the contract value or a deployment timetable, while second-quarter company revenue increased just 1% to $17.2 billion.
