ICE Arrests Two Cisco's Workers at Austin Restaurant
Two employees of Cisco's in Austin were arrested and detained by ICE agents on Monday morning. Ramon Avilez-Frias and Maria Del Pilar Moreno-Loredo, both long-standing workers at the Tex-Mex restaurant, were taken into custody after a traffic stop involving Texas Department of Public Safety officials.
The arrest occurred outside Cisco's when agents detained the two workers because they lacked lawful immigration status. An online fundraiser has been set up to support Avilez-Frias and Moreno-Loredo, which had raised $1,885 of its $9,000 goal by Tuesday afternoon.
