Oreejoy Medtech, an IIT Gandhinagar startup founded by professors Uttama Lahiri and Neelesh Sharma, has won the Boeing BUILD National Finals. The competition received around 2,200 applications, with 28 teams shortlisted for a grant. Oreejoy's innovative wearable insole uses pressure sensors, signal processing, and AI to analyze walking patterns and assess mobility.

The INSTROLE app provides insights for users and clinicians to support rehabilitation. With studies involving approximately 300 participants under their belt, the startup is exploring applications in neurological rehabilitation, sports, and other healthcare areas.

Oreejoy secured a Rs 10 lakh grant for its artificial intelligence-powered wearable technology, which has been recognized as one of the top innovations in the competition. This achievement highlights the potential of emerging technologies to revolutionize various sectors, particularly healthcare.
