Indian Market Plunges as Midcaps Hit New Lows
The Indian market experienced a sharp decline on Monday, with the benchmark Sensex plummeting by 1,124 points to close at 72,771.
Among the BSE 150 Midcap Index stocks that touched fresh 52-week lows were Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care, Havells India, Bharti Hexacom, REC, SJVN, ACC, General Insurance Corporation of India, and UPL.
Havells India was among the worst-hit, falling to a 52-week low of Rs 1,074.3, down from Rs 1,091 at the close of trading on Monday.
