IndiGo Flight from London to Delhi Turns Back Amid Emergency Declaration

An IndiGo Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight from London Heathrow to New Delhi was forced to turn back after declaring an emergency shortly after departure.

The flight, operated by registration LN-FND, departed Runway 27R at 20:05 BST and reached the English Channel before halting its climb at 24,000 feet.

Flight tracking data shows that the crew transmitted a squawk code of 7700, indicating an onboard emergency, to alert Air Traffic Control (ATC) for priority handling.

The crew then executed a turn back toward British airspace, and air traffic controllers cleared a path for the aircraft's return to London Heathrow.
