Infinimmune honored as one of 2026’s Fierce 15 biotech innovators
Infinimmune has been recognized as one of the most innovative private biotechnology companies in 2026 by Fierce Biotech’s annual Fierce 15 list. The company stands out for its pioneering approach to antibody discovery, leveraging the human immune system to identify and engineer fully human antibodies. Infinimmune’s proprietary Anthrobody® platform screens millions of single memory B cells, enabling the discovery of antibodies with optimal affinity, specificity, and other favorable characteristics.
The recognition comes on the heels of several significant milestones for Infinimmune, including a $75 million Series A financing in August 2026, co-led by Regeneron Ventures and Playground Global. The company also announced a multi-target antibody discovery collaboration with Merck in March 2026, which includes up to $838 million in potential milestone payments. Infinimmune is advancing two monoclonal antibodies for atopic dermatitis, IFX-101 and IFX-201, expected to enter clinical trials in 2027.
Wyatt McDonnell, Ph.D., Co-Founder and CEO of Infinimmune, expressed excitement about the recognition, highlighting the company’s mission to translate the human immune system’s capabilities into next-generation antibody medicines. The Fierce 15 list celebrates innovative and ambitious biotech companies, and this year’s selection comes at a time of renewed momentum in the industry.
