Instacart, an American online grocery shopping platform, is available to buy as a stock under the ticker symbol CART. Founded in 2012 by Apoorva Mehta and Max Mullen, Instacart has grown rapidly with its services now offered in over 6,000 cities across North America.

The company went public through a direct listing on September 14, 2021, but there is no IPO price. This means investors can't directly buy shares of Instacart stock at an initial public offering price. However, since the company's listing, its stock has been available for trading on various platforms.

Matt DiLallo, a contributing Motley Fool stock analyst, notes that Amazon and DoorDash are among his positions and recommends Instacart and Uber Technologies.
