SpaceX shares are surging after a recent batch of 13F filings revealed that several major institutions have significant stakes in the company.

The filings showed that Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has the largest position, holding approximately 551 million SpaceX shares worth around $94 billion.

Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NASDAQ:AMD), and Harvard's endowment manager also reported substantial stakes in the company.

No investor concentrated its bet quite like Atreides Management, which has roughly 42% of its holdings tied up in SpaceX shares worth $4.67 billion.

The share-unlock timeline is rolling out gradually rather than in one release, with roughly 912 million shares becoming tradable on August 6 and an additional 319 million due to unlock on August 20.
