International Business Leader Brian Dyson Dies at 90

Brian Guillermo Dyson, a 90-year-old international businessman and entrepreneur, passed away on August 9, 2026, due to respiratory complications from pneumonia. Born in 1935 in San Eduardo, Santa Fe Province, Argentina, he was raised on his family's 140-year-old farm, Estancia La Susana.

Dyson had a long and successful career with The Coca-Cola Company, which began when he joined the company in Venezuela in 1959. He worked for many years in South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico before becoming President of Coca-Cola North America and Senior Vice President of The Coca-Cola Company in 1978.

He continued to hold leadership positions within the company until his retirement in 1994, when he founded Chatham International Corporation, a private business and international consulting firm. Dyson also made a brief comeback from 2001 to 2003 as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of The Coca-Cola Company.

A passionate athlete and outdoorsman, Dyson was a nationally ranked squash player and triathlete, and he also served on the President's Counsel of Fitness. He was an avid writer, publishing a novel in 1996 and a memoir in 2020.
