Iowa Coca-Cola Bottler Injects $753 Million into Local Economy

A new report from Coca-Cola highlights the significant economic contribution of its Atlantic Bottling Company to Iowa's economy. The company, one of 61 independent bottlers in the US, contributed $753 million to Iowa's economy last year alone.

The Atlantic Bottling facility operates across five states and employs over 800 people, serving approximately 725 communities with its products. In addition to the substantial economic contribution, the company has invested more than $40 million over the past three years in modernizing its facilities, including the Atlantic plant which can produce up to one million canned beverages daily.

Coca-Cola's four Iowa bottlers collectively purchased $87 million in goods and services from local suppliers last year, supported around 1,000 direct jobs, and donated approximately $1 million to community programs. Nationally, the Coca-Cola system contributed a staggering $85 billion to the US economy and supported nearly one million jobs in 2025.
