IperionX Shares See a Significant Jump Due to Army Contract Expansion and JPMorgan's Growing Stake

The company has received its second task order under the existing SBIR Phase III agreement with the US Army, carrying a base value of $18.5 million. This contract is in addition to the first task order awarded to date, which had a cumulative value of roughly $1.3 million.

The total potential value of the overarching framework agreement with the Army represents as much as $99 million. IperionX plans to invest in new equipment and production systems using the funding provided for expanding domestic titanium component manufacturing for defense applications.

JPMorgan Chase has increased its position in the company, which is seen by market participants as a vote of confidence in the long-term viability of IperionX's technology. The shareholder register has also been altered with the expiration of holding periods on certain company securities, paving the way for altered trading dynamics.
