iPhone Duo Launch Boosts Apple's Outlook, but Risks Remain
Apple's stock outlook remains constructive but not risk-free after the iPhone Duo launch. The company unveiled the $1,999 foldable device alongside upgraded iPhone 18 Pro models priced $100 higher than their predecessors. Despite a muted market reaction, analysts at Melius estimate up to 15 million Duo units in fiscal 2027.
The high selling price could lift iPhone revenue growth toward 20%, above the current 9% consensus. Apple's monthly technical signal is Strong Buy, while the weekly signal is Buy. Services and ecosystem strength remain key financial drivers.
However, supply limits, margin pressure, and AI execution remain valuation tests for the stock. BofA reduced its target to $370 from $380, citing component-cost inflation and potential gross-margin pressure. The report lowered 2027 EPS estimates to $9.98 from $10.32 due to these concerns.
