Iran Boeing 737 Makes Emergency Landing After Tyre Problem and Engine Issue
A Boeing 737 operated by Sepehran Airlines experienced a dramatic emergency landing in Iran after a tyre problem and reported engine issue. The plane, flying from Mashhad to Kermanshah on September 15, was forced to return to Mashhad shortly after takeoff.
The outer tread had separated from one of the aircraft's tyres as it departed the runway, according to Iran's Razavi Khorasan provincial airports authority. The pilot reported an engine emergency and requested permission to return to Mashhad, which landed safely with no injuries among passengers.
Videos from inside the aircraft showed intense shaking, with sections of the cabin's overhead lining and interior panels detaching and falling. Passengers screamed as their belongings also fell from overhead compartments.
