Iran Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Tyre Detachment Causes Violent Shaking
A Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 was forced to return to Mashhad Airport in northeastern Iran just minutes after takeoff due to a reported tyre detachment.
The incident occurred on September 16, 2026, as the aircraft departed from Mashhad and headed for Kermanshah. According to reports, the pilot informed passengers of a technical problem soon after takeoff.
As the plane continued flying, it began to shake violently, prompting the crew to turn back to Mashhad Airport. Passengers described tense moments as the aircraft vibrated heavily, causing overhead compartments to open and personal belongings to fall onto seats and the aisle.
