Iran Targets Major US Tech Companies Amid Escalating Conflict
Iran has reportedly identified offices and assets linked to major US technology companies in the Middle East as potential targets. This comes amid an escalating conflict against the US and Israel, with Iran stating that its 'legitimate targets' have broadened as the regional war expands into an infrastructure war.
The list of targets includes Alphabet Inc.'s Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, IBM, Oracle, and Palantir Technologies. According to a report by CNN, these companies have regional offices, cloud infrastructure, data centers, and development facilities in the Middle East that could be targeted.
Russia is also helping Iran with advanced drone tactics, which involve the use of Shahed drones to target US and Gulf nation assets. This marks a deeper level of support from Russia, which previously shared general targeting intelligence with Iran.
