IronPigs Drop Series Finale to RailRiders in Thrilling Contest

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs suffered a 7-3 loss to their rivals, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, in the season-series finale at PNC Field on September 6, 2026. The RailRiders took an early lead with Yanquiel Fernandez's three-run homer in the first inning.

The IronPigs responded with an RBI single from Dylan Moore in the second, but Scranton/Wilkes-Barre plated three more runs in the bottom half of the frame. Abrahan Guitierrez belted a solo homer before Jarred Kelenic hit an RBI triple and then scored on an Anthony Volpe base hit.

Kameron Misner's two-run homer with the IronPigs' final out was too little, too late as they fell 7-3. Adam Kloffenstein earned the win for SWB, allowing just one unearned run over six innings, while Drake Fellows took the loss for Lehigh Valley, surrendering six runs in four innings.

The IronPigs return home to Coca-Cola Park on Tuesday, September 8th, after an off-day on Monday, for their final homestand of the series against the Worcester Red Sox. The game is set to start at 6:45 p.m.
