J&J Hits 64-Year Dividend Streak, Generates Over $200k in Annual Income
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has increased its dividend for an impressive 64 consecutive years. The company is part of a select group known as Dividend Kings, which comprises stocks that have raised their dividends annually for at least 50 years. Only nine publicly traded companies can boast a longer streak of rising dividends.
The latest dividend increase was announced in April, with J&J declaring a quarterly payout of $1.34 per share, up from $1.30. This translates to an annual dividend of $5.36 per share. For investors holding $10,000 worth of JNJ stock, this would generate approximately $204 in dividend income.
J&J's forward dividend yield is a modest 2.07%, lower than many stocks in the S&P 500. However, the company has delivered strong price appreciation in recent years, with its stock rising 50% over the past 52 weeks and 26% this year. In contrast, the broader market (S&P 500) has gained 21.6% over the past year and 13% so far in 2026.
