Jackson Schools Fill Vacant Seat with Marketing Expert Robert Hite

The Jackson Local School District Board of Education has filled a vacant seat on their board by appointing Robert Hite. The vacancy occurred after Tonya Wright resigned due to moving out of the district, effective September 12.

Hite brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales from Fortune 500 companies like Procter & Gamble and Smucker. He will serve until December 31, 2027, with his seat appearing on the November 2, 2027 ballot for the remainder of the term.

Board President Lia Jones praised the applicants, stating, 'The Board was impressed by the quality of the applicants and their genuine interest in serving Jackson Local Schools.'
