JAL Renews Boeing 787 Component Support Agreement with Lufthansa Technik Through 2036
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Lufthansa Technik have extended their partnership for maintenance and logistics services on Boeing 787 aircraft.
The companies signed a renewed Total Component Support (TCS) agreement, which will cover up to 67 aircraft through at least 2036.
Lufthansa Technik will provide maintenance, reliability management, and logistics services for various components installed on JAL's Boeing 787 planes, as well as access to its global spare-parts pool.
The two companies also signed a new exclusive agreement covering thrust reversers and inlet cowls for the GEnx-1B engines on Boeing 787 aircraft. This five-year deal will see Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen provide spare parts and repair services.
