Jamie Dimon's Unconventional Investing Philosophy Began in Childhood
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon credits his childhood for shaping his investing philosophy. His father, Theodore Dimon, taught him and his brothers to pick stocks by researching industries and reading annual reports.
Dimon's interest in finance began early, with him buying his first stock at 14 with his father's guidance. He went on to graduate from Tufts University and earn an MBA from Harvard Business School before starting his career on Wall Street.
Today, Dimon is the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, one of the largest banks in the US. Under his leadership, the company has generated $185.6 billion in revenue and he personally has a net worth of $3.2 billion.
