Japan Airlines operates a fleet of widebody aircraft, including the Boeing 767-300ER. One such plane is JA617J, which has been in service since July 2007 and has remained active despite being parked for a period between December 2020 and August 2021.

The aircraft has seen recent flights to destinations such as Guam, Honolulu, Hanoi, and Taipei. With Japan Airlines operating a total of 24 Boeing 767-300ERs in its widebody passenger fleet, JA617J is just one part of the airline's diverse operations.
