Japan's Japan Post Insurance has signed an enterprise-wide AI agreement with Salesforce, becoming the country's first company to do so. The deal combines Salesforce's SELA framework with Flex Credits-Unlimited to ease usage-based limits for Agentforce, a platform that uses AI agents for large enterprises.

The agreement will allow Japan Post Insurance to expand its use of Salesforce products in sales and contact center operations, as well as build a company-wide data platform through Data 360 and MuleSoft. This is part of the insurer's effort to establish what it calls a 'Kanpo value provision model', which combines in-person channels with remote and digital tools to provide more convenient and comprehensive services.

The contract will also enable Japan Post Insurance to scale its Salesforce usage flexibly, promoting Agentforce adoption across all business areas. By combining AI with customer data and human staff capabilities, the insurer aims to improve proposals and communication tailored to individual customers.
