Japanese Insurer Sells 27K AAPL Shares, Further Reduces Stake
Dai ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd, a Japanese insurance company, has reduced its stake in Apple Inc. by selling 27,471 shares of AAPL during the first quarter. The firm's holdings in Apple now amount to approximately $179 million and represent about 5% of its portfolio.
According to Dai ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd's latest Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it owned 705,319 shares of AAPL after trimming its position by 3.7%. The iPhone maker accounts for Apple's second-largest position in the insurance company's portfolio.
Other large investors have also made changes to their holdings in AAPL during the first quarter. Rainier Family Wealth Inc. increased its stake in Apple by 14.1%, while Eaton Cambridge Inc. lifted its position by 21.3%. Summit Wealth Partners LLC boosted its investment in Apple by 108.3%.
Institutional investors and hedge funds own approximately 67.73% of AAPL's shares.
