Japan's Aviation Parts Makers Unite for Cost-Cutting Deliveries
Subaru and other Japanese aviation parts makers are teaming up to streamline delivery of aircraft components, aiming to reduce costs and workloads in the supply chain. The collaboration will see Nippon Express provide support for a joint delivery network being launched by Subaru and other suppliers.
The 'milk runs' system, which involves combining multiple deliveries into one trip, will be expanded nationwide as part of the initiative. This move comes as Boeing raises its output in response to growing demand.
