Jassy Soothes Amazon Investors on Massive AI Spending
Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, recently addressed concerns about the company's massive spending on artificial intelligence (AI). In an effort to reassure investors and analysts, Jassy provided insight into the strategic benefits of AI investments.
According to CNBC, Jassy emphasized that Amazon is not trying to dominate AI but rather focus on 'customer obsession' by leveraging AI capabilities. He stated that the company's goal is to use AI to improve customer experience across various product lines, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Jassy acknowledged that some investors might be concerned about the significant expenses associated with developing and implementing AI technologies. However, he pointed out that a substantial portion of these costs will be offset by revenue generated through AI-driven services.
