JBG Engages IBM in Governance Overhaul Amid $6.8 Billion Loss
Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG) is taking concrete steps to address its financial reporting irregularities. The company has engaged IBM to strengthen controls in its financial systems and will deliver a governance overhaul by November 30. This move comes after the group recorded a $6.8-billion loss for its May year-end period.
JBG has also implemented seven measures to improve corporate governance, including reorganizing corporate and reporting structures in both Jamaican and US operations. The company will report progress quarterly alongside its financial results.
